The light sensors on your garage door opener are an essential safety feature. I actually recommend checking them at least once a month. Normal operation permits the door to close as long as the light being passed between the two sensors is not interrupted. First, close the door without interrupting the light beam. And then, attempt to close the door while interrupting the light beam. If the door closes while the light beam is interrupted, repairs are needed. Click to learn more.
